On 21 January the honoring of KAMAZ-master Team was held in Kazan Kremlin. On the meeting the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the team’s representatives with the victories in two international rally-raids Dakar-2017 and Africa Eco Race-2017.
“Our dream came true”, - were the first words the President of Tatarstan started his greeting of. “Not long ago we saw off KAMAZ-master Team to Africa, Latin America, rooted for them as the race was very tough. One more time the team proved its competitiveness on the world-wide basis. It is an honor of our whole country, our republic and, certainly, of Naberezhnye Chelny city”, - said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The President of Tatarstan mentioned that not only Tatarstan citizens and KAMAZ workers but the whole country supported the team. “All people I know congratulate you and are proud of your success”, - he told to the audience.
Rustam Minnikhanov also mentioned about one more Dakar-2017 participant, who took the third place in the buggy category. “It is very pleasant that a young racer appeared in Tatarstan, who showed his worth and passed such a serious exam. I had said: “The main thing for him is to finish with a good result.” But you did a great job and we are proud of such guys who can set a serious challenge and cope with it”, - he said to Ravil Maganov.
“The bar was set very high, the responsibility was enormous and therefore we celebrate your success”, - added Rustam Minnikhanov.
He also gave state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the representatives of KAMAZ-master team.
The director of NP “KAMAZ-Avtosport”, KAMAZ-master Team leader Vladimir Chagin said in his speech that the appreciation of the Tatarstan President was very valuable that year. “The rivalry was the hardest this year, and the fight was not for hours and minutes but for seconds. We did all possible, sometimes even impossible, in order not to let you down, Rustam Nurgalievich, - said Vladimir Chagin. – During November tests in Naberezhnye Chelny you said that KAMAZ can and is able to be a champion truck. We remembered your words, and the President’s opinion is an order for us. We are happy that we didn’t disappoint you, management of our plant, partners, sponsors, a great army of fans. And we managed to prove that KAMAZ trucks are the fastest in the off-road world.”
